Stephanie Fling

Associate Attorney, Jones Law Firm, PC

I have a doctoral degree in law from the University of Denver College Of Law and an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State College of Denver. Throughout law school I focused my studies on family law, criminal law, property, trial practice and estate planning. This focus encompasses the diversity and complexity that exist in family law issues. I received the American Jurisprudence award for Advanced Legal Writing and interned at a private criminal defense firm and with the Student Law Office.

I have been practicing family law in Colorado since 2001 and I focus primarily on trial practice in complex dissolution (divorce) cases. I also focus on modification of decision-making, child support, parenting time and paternity issues, adoption, and citation for contempt. My success is measured by ensuring my clients are fully aware of their rights, obligations and options. I aggressively & professionally represent the client's needs while limiting litigation expense and settling the case as quickly as possible. In addition to being a trial attorney, I believe a significant part of my representation is as a counselor at law. I strive to ensure I fully understand my client's needs and goals, educate them on their options and the legal impact of those options and guide them through the legal process.
